Oh, and Mothers' Day has just passed!! It was a good day!! Yesterday, we went out with our mum and treated her for dinner!! Well, it cost us $92.. Running out of money in my piggybank.. Haha.. But she enjoyed it and so did us!! Then, as a tradition, we gave her cards we personally made.. They WERE NOT bought... To express our love.. Haha, sounds so mushy.. But unfortunately, our dad was working overseas.. And my mum just bought a $200 massager today !!! T.T We told her we would not be treating her. HAHA... Otherwise we would run out of money... Well, she said it was a good massager and she felt good after using it, so we decided to let her buy it. Anyway, she usually does not spend much, so i suppose, once in a while it is ok.. In addition, she has done a lot in these past years to ensure our family leads a goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood life!! So, wishing all the mothers in the world a HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY !!!! Hmmm, I almost forgot that I had to blog on Animal Farm... Well, in overall, I would say that it was a very meaningful story and it does contain a very important moral. However, the ending, I would say, is a little depressing.

I am amazed at how George Orwell has managed to weave history so nicely into a story for people to read. Besides understanding the deeper meaning of the book, the story itself makes it a good book already. It is interesting and describes the animals' lives and feelings in detail.

Now, let us talk about the deeper meaning of the book. It helps us in understanding history-what happened during the Russian Revolution by providing us with another means of remembering it, which is to remember the events that happened in a much-easier-to-understand-as-it-is-interesting book.

Therefore, I think that it was a right choice for schools to use this book as a way to teach literature and for those who have yet to read it, grab it b4 it runs out!! ( I am NOT an advertiser)

Woohoo!! Hi everyone! Posting again!!

Now, let me talk about the exams that we have had this term. In fact, we have been having tests from Week 3 until Week 8 with at least 1 test each week! There was math on Wk 3, and then in Wk 7, there was Geog, Chinese, English, Math, Malay, Science ICAS, and IS... So many tests in 1 week... To make matters worse, I had English, Math, Malay, Science ICAS on the same day!!!

Overall, I suppose my results were quite ok... My English Narrative Essay got an A2 and my Lit essay got an A1.. Hope that can pull up my B4 for the previous term.. As for the Geog Mock test, I got E8....... Hopefully, i don't do so badly in my real test... As for my Math paper, I got 33 at the start of the term, but 38 for the previous one. Yeah!! Not full marks, but well... There was an improvement.

Think I should be ending this soon... Cos it might exceed the 150-word limit tooo much... Hahas.. Well, good luck for my 1 remaining test-Chinese!!!!!

Now, let me give you guys updates on the competition yesterday. It was about cross talk and many schools participated. Hwa Chong has gotten first for 18 years i think but have not been getting anything in the past 3 years... That puts pressure on us this year. Our cross talk basically goes with 2 disciples (Me and Qiyu) and 2 shifus (Tian Yi and Shan Lu). Well, we meet up and pranks are played on Tian Yi. Later on, as it progresses, the 2 disciples have a small performance and while we are eager to stop the other from speaking and let ourselves speak, we start to fight. The shifus then pull us apart and decide to show us a sample. In the end, they too started to fight, and it ends sooner or later when we decide that all 4 of us are important and the judges are the unimportant ones :P.

Yesterday, however, something bad happened............ The 2 shifus screwed up on stage (Not entirely, but a little) making me and Qiyu freak out. We had to adjust the content of our speech a little to ensure that the cross talk could continue smoothly. Thankfully, we still got into the finals which would be carried out on 30 May at Suntec City Convention Hall, Hall 404!!

Phew... Lucky we got into the finals or we would get killed by the teachers.. Good luck for the finals!!

iLeague 2nd match

Woohoo!!! We won 212 in the ileague with a score of 5-3!! So happy!! After being thrashed by 2i3 11-2, we managed to make a comeback and we are now the top in all the Sec 1 classes!! (Or at least i think so...)

Now, let me analyse each player in detail. First, let us start of with our superb goalkeeper, Tim Lung!! Well, he scored a goal, made a hundred saves and ... Well, it is srt of uncountable. He uses his powerful lungs to block the ball from entering the goal!! Although he let in 3 goals, but that is already extremely amazing if we also look at the number of shots by 2i3(Not insulting the defenders..) Hmmm, as for the defenders.. Yipin, me, aloysius, adrian... Not bad, I suppose. But some coments to Matthew. Run past the half line ONLY when you are in possession of the ball. But otherwise, you played well too. Now let's progress on to our strikers. Justin, Aloysius Poh and Wei Ren. Justin, with 88% accuracy, Aloysius with 88% jumping skills and Wei Ren, 88% ramming skills indeed make a good combination. Lol...

But anyway, it was a good match and I am thankful to it by providing me with a topic to blog about. :P
